We knew it would be fun. We knew it would be cool. We knew it would be pretty.

We didn’t know that air could taste this sweet, crisp, and alive. We didn’t know that when the air is that clear it feels like you’re seeing in HD and the whole world pops– colors are astoundingly vibrant, from mossy rocks placed perfectly on rugged ex-cano hillsides, to lush fall trees reflected in the perfectly still lakes and ocean inlets. We didn’t know the people would be so friendly, so welcoming, and so proud to share their treasure and home. We didn’t know our Air BnB host Daniel would be an incredible guide and friend. I didn’t know, in my haste to pack enough warm clothes to save my twiggy body from the arctic chill, that I would SWIM IN THE ICELANIC OCEAN ON DAY ONE (Daniel, that was absurd, outrageous, and incredible. Thank you!). We didn’t know we would fall in love with a place after twelve hours and completely forget that all our luggage was lost en route because hell, what does it matter, WE’RE IN HEAVEN.

Iceland. You wild, ruthless, sexy creature. Here’s to you!

This is just VICIOUS good. So good that it just doesn’t matter if my ears never hear those frequencies ever again. Alarms went off a record 13 times during the creation of this sandwich.

They were prolly just jealous.

Sometimes the easiest is actually the best.

Ummm but this wasn’t on of those times. Not even a pinch of roasted paprika could make this great. It was good. Neigh. Ordinary. It was merely ordinary. And I mean that in the most derisively Australian sense: sucks.

Farewell Kraft Easy Mac. My boujy tastebuds have been spoiled and shall not be sated by you ever again.

Yo we went nuts on this– chanterelles, baby porchinis, and white oyster mushrooms, with a dubliner jack mashed potato top.

Note to self: expands in belly. Stop after second serving.
